Puppy’s First Days of Transition

Today will be a very happy day for you, but it will be a very stressful day for your puppy!   Please note that your puppy will not know where his/her food and water will be located in your home.   So it is very important you show them where to find it.

Your puppy should have access to the food/water frequently throughout the day, as often as hourly to start.  There are many reasons for this.

Water: – it is extremely important that the puppy has access to water.   Also note the kind of water the puppy was raised with vs your drinking water.  Where I live my water is from a well.   Many of my customers live in the City and their water is treated.   So this can be a problem.   I recommend you continue to use the same type of water, if you are not sure, it would be best to start the puppy with bottled water for a week then transition them over gradually to your drinking water.
